|I first became familiar with Xavier De Enciso back in my early L.A. rave daze. He was a regular at many events around Southern California. See photo below circa mid-1990’s L.A. Somehow we never met during that time.
I left L.A. in 2002 for Detroit to join the Submerge and Underground Resistance crew, then moved to NYC for quite a while, got married, etc. Fast forward to my return to Los Angeles in 2011 and I ended up at a Lovefix party DJing back to back with Esteban Adame. Lovefix was Xavier’s current project and it was a perfect fit for my more eclectic style. He’s been key to my re-introduction to Los Angeles, so ever since I’ve been keeping up with his events and music production.
|So it’s with a lot of pride and satisfaction that he’s released his Emotional Hunger EP on Yaxteq. Check out the release page linked below, read a bit more about Xavier, listen to this amazing EP and purchase the release if you’re feeling the vibe!
Official Yaxteq announcement! The “Code Switcha” album is now being pressed at Archer Record Pressing in Detroit and is expected to start shipping worldwide in November.
If you haven’t already please have a listen via SoundCloud below. Once again huge thanks to our featured visual artists; Howard Davy for his design of the Nomadico mascot (yuru-chara) and Chaz Bojorquez for his amazing rendering of the “Nomadico” lettering in his iconic style.
DJ Dex aka Nomadico has written and produced 10 new unreleased tracks for this double LP “The Code Switcha”.
It features a range of tempos and sonic dynamics; from the slow burns of “RTD 60” and “909 Soto Street” to the full
on energy of “Machine Learning for Homeboy” and “HustLA”. There are also electro funk tracks like “Still Cruisin”,
“Radio 3031323” and “Backyard Trippin”. Meanwhile, the moods and textures of “Introversion”, “Innermission” and
“Staring Problem” are for deep listening. All of these are fused together by atmospheric pads, touches of acid and a
veteran DJ’s sense of rhythm and timing.

Thanks for your support. Happy 2017!!
It was a long hot summer in L.A. but towards the end my family and I got away to Detroit for a few days to visit family and friends. The Yaxteq studio also needed some serious electrical repairs so production was on hold. As a result of all this, it’s been quiet around here. But there’s now plenty of news to report so here we go!!
First off, I’ve made the digital download of Yaxteq 002 “Gentefication EP” available on the Yaxteq shop. There’s plenty of details, a video preview and the option to buy at https://yaxteq.com/shop or go directly to the item listing here: https://yaxteq.com/product/yaxteq-002-gentefication-ep/
Next up, I’ll be making a guest appearance on Santiago Salazar’s “Santuario” Internet radio show on Dublab this coming Monday November 7th, 2016. Check out the show listing here: http://dublab.com/events/43542/santiago-salazar-santuario/
My Dublab appearance will be a nice preview of my performance at the Strawberry Fields Festival in Australia (November 17th-20th). Myself and DJ Skurge will be performing as the Underground Resistance Assault Squad. The full line-up is available here: http://www.strawberry-fields.com.au/music/
As a bonus, we’ll be kicking things off with a pre-party on Friday November 11th in Melbourne before heading out to the ‘bush’ for the festival. Check out the flyer below. Thanks for your time and reading this far into the post!! ; )
Check out this 4 minute preview of the “Gente-fication EP” coming soon on my label Yaxteq via Submerge Distribution in Detroit. Happy 2016 to all!

Happy 2015 friends. I’m proud to announce the beginning of my new project: Yaxteq. The Yaxteq sound will be the foundation and theme for various experiments all under the Yaxteq concept. Yaxche x Techno = Yaxteq. The first release will be available on vinyl exclusively from Submerge in Detroit for the first few months of 2015. Worldwide distribution will follow shortly via both vinyl and digital outlets.
The video preview features footage from Los Angeles and Detroit. Both cities have profoundly shaped my creativity and view of this crazy world. It was created by the talented Naheedence. Please check out more of her work at naheedence.com
Thank you for listening and watching Yaxteq!!

Check out my latest music chart at Juno Download. I’ve included my remix for Gavrom on the UK’s Bullet:Dodge Recordings. “Chordilias” Nomadico Remix was released Monday December 15th, 2014. The remix sets the theme for the chart with moody, ethereal soundscapes and brooding beats. Enjoy and here’s to the Winter Solstice.
I’m excited to announce that the Yaxteq EP is now available in the UK and Europe. The Vinyl Factory has picked the Yaxteq EP as one of it’s 10 best releases of the week!
“Nomadico breaks the silence and opens the gateway for another wave of hi tech jazz and machine funk from the masters. On the strength of ‘Yaxteq’, ain’t nothing changed but the game; UR still hit harder than anyone else, punching your lights out with a pin point assault of brutal sequences and hammering percussion”
You can order directly from the following retailers in the UK and Europe.
I’ve started recording video of my practice sessions. This past weekend I spent a couple of hours with the UR and Red Planet catalog. Here’s about 25 minutes from that session. It features all Electro-Techno-Funk tracks from Red Planet, UR, Timeline and Nomadico.
