Earlier that evening Yaxteq will host the first ever “Yaxteq Lab”. The Yaxteq Lab will be a pop-up audio clinic with Claude a few miles from Downtown L.A. A wild night and great times were had this past Saturday at Hyperion Tavern in Los Angeles. The Black Lodge is a monthly party at The Hyperion Tavern with a mix of local and out of town guests. Vikas and Jason are doing a great job creating an intimate yet rowdy party. The music is varied from Techno bangers to moodier House and vocal cuts. Rumor has it the sets were recorded so I’ll post a recording up here as soon as possible. In other news I’m working on adding e-commerce features to this site. So that means soon you’ll be able to order various DJ Dex and Nomadico vinyl releases directly from my studio here in Los Angeles. I’ve got plans for t-shirts, stickers and other goodies too. Finally there will of course be the option to buy tunes digitally in uncompressed .wav format.
Truly looking forward to returning to NYC this weekend! I’ll be working once again with the ALLGOLD collective led by Kevin Beasley. Myself and Heiroglyphic Being will be dropping a ton of bizarre modern electronic music aka Techno in Long Island City for “Spring Cleaning” at the PS1 Print Shop.

I’m pleased to share with you the DJ set from December 14, 2014 at MOMA PS1. Just have a look at the track list to understand why I call it the “UR 101” mix. This Sunday August 25th, I’ll be DJing at “Burn The Elastic” just outside of Downtown L.A. at Vista Hermosa Natural Park. I’ll be opening for the one and only DJ Steve Loria. Before joining Underground Resistance, before learning anything about an MPC or getting my head around chord inversions, I learned about the craft of DJing from Steve Loria. So, yes, it’s an honor to play with the “West Coast Legend”. He’s been known for playing 8 hour sets and dropping everything from deep vocal house tracks to dark tribal stompers and funky disco cut ups. He’s the first person I ever heard play “Electric Shock” by Dan Bell. His crates are DEEEEP! Check out part of a set of his on Soundcloud at the bottom of this post!!
The park is on First Street west of the 110 (Harbor Freeway) between Beaudry and Glendale Blvd. If you’re in L.A. please stop by and say wassup!

Japan has recently begun enforcing a “Regulation of Dance” which limits the ability of venues to host DJ’s and dance parties. This means that many of us DJs and artists that regularly visit Japan now have to worry about having our performance shutdown!
Please join me in signing this petition and submitting it via our friends at Underground Gallery in Kobe, Japan.
